Learn how we can work together
My special interests include plant-based living, non-toxic self-care and home products, cooking and entertaining, and practicing yoga.
Our favorite family activity is hiking in the woods with our dogs. I would love to learn more about you and your lifestyle.
I love to travel and meet people from around the world. My husband is from France and I have many friends from different countries. I have wonderful insights into what other cultures and lifestyles can teach us. It is fun to learn from other cultures, and incorporate tasty flavors and recipes, as well as their secrets to living well into our lives.
After starting my family I decided it was time to start a private practice. It has been the best decision yet. It is in this setting for the past 10 years where I am fortunate to see real change and disease prevention, meet great people from all walks of life, and form long-term relationships.
I compassionately care for every client like they are a family member as I find people are more likely to make changes in the context of a relationship.
I am patient in trying many avenues to get to the root of a problem and calling on my network of healthcare colleagues when I need help.
After seeing my father struggle with diabetes and observing many instances of poor health and premature death in this population, I decided to pursue the certification to become a CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist). I have worked in several accredited diabetes education programs and have been able to provide practical assistance to my father to live well and happily with diabetes.
My work history, as well as my passion, has always included food and serving others. My earliest experiences were in restaurant and hospital based food service. I worked many years as a clinical dietitian in several hospitals, out-patient education centers, long-term care facilities, group homes, and community nutrition out-reach programs.
